About Dr. Krones
Dr David Krones is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist providing private care on Sydney’s North Shore.
David grew up in North East Victoria after moving to Wangaratta with his family at the age of 14. Following graduating from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Science (Major – Anatomy and Physiology) he initially worked in clinical research before moving to Sydney to complete his medical degree at the University of Notre Dame.
David completed his residency at Liverpool Hospital, Sydney and moved to Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) Network for the core specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. This was followed by a year as the Senior Registrar at RNSH and a further two-year fellowship at the Royal Hospital for Women, Sydney (AGES Fellowship). During his training, David has had the privilege to learn from and be mentored by some of the best Obstetricians and Gynaecologist in Sydney and Australia which has allowed him to build extensive experience in both high-risk obstetrics and advanced gynaecological surgery.
Furthermore, Dr Krones is also actively involved in teaching at the University of Sydney and University of New South Wales and is a member of the GRACE Research team which focuses on women’s health and endometriosis research.

Outside of medicine and most importantly David is married and with his wife Georgia has three young sons. He enjoys long beach days, training for runs/triathlons and is and avid supporter of the St Kilda Football Club (AFL) and Alemannia Aachen (German Football Team).
